Our Story

Dedication and Service

The Restoration Initiative for Culture and Community (The RICC) was founded in 2012 as an outgrowth of Canal Street Church. Built on the belief that restoration of communities depends on reconciliation of relationships, The RICC began working in the Mid-City neighborhood of New Orleans, serving families in the community immediately surrounding Canal Street Church. Now with the Restoration Counseling Center and our partnership with Grace in the Bywater, we are reaching more neighborhoods with the goal of seeing those who mourn become restored so that they could lead in reconciliation.

Our Vision

The Restoration Initiative for Culture and Community envisions wholistically thriving communities cultivating peace in a more just and caring world.

Our Mission

The Restoration Initiative accomplishes its vision by creating environments and solutions that expand possibilities, cultivate character, and restore relationships of individuals, groups, and families.

Our Affliations

The RICC is a member organization of the Christian Community Development Association and a partner of the Missio Mosaic Network.
